Mortgage Renewals in Ottawa & Ontario
Your renewal letter is an offer, not a bill.

When your renewal arrives, it's tempting to sign and move on. But the first offer is the one your lender expects you to accept, not necessarily the best one available. I call that the "easy tax."
How I help
- Start early. We begin about 4 months before your maturity date, so you're never rushed.
- Shop the market. I compare your lender's offer with many others.
- Rethink your mortgage. Your life has changed since you signed. Want to renovate, pay off debt, invest, or help your kids? Renewal is the time to restructure.
- Make switching easy. If another lender is better, I handle the paperwork.
Questions I hear most
"Can I switch lenders at renewal?"
Yes. In many cases a straight switch at renewal no longer requires you to re-qualify under the stress test.
"Will switching cost me?"
Often there's little to no cost at maturity. I'll show you the full picture before you decide.
"I'm happy with my bank. Why look?"
Then let's confirm you're getting a fair deal. If your bank's offer is the best, great: you'll know for sure.
Your next step
Send me your renewal letter. I'll review it and tell you honestly whether you can do better. I work with clients in English, Hebrew and Russian.
